Salary: £40,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements

  • We require eligibility to work in the EU and internationally; we cannot provide sponsorship.
  • We require a higher education qualification in IT or a related field, or 5+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • We require at least 3 years of hands-on Windows enterprise support and operations experience.
  • We require hands-on experience with change management processes.
  • We require experience supporting Microsoft SQL, including backups, tuning, and general support.
  • We require strong customer and supplier support experience.
  • We require at least 1 year of hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Windows Domain Administration, Application Lifecycle support, or PKI/Certificate Authority operations.
  • We require knowledge of Windows Server 2016+, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, WSUS patching, and physical/virtual machine setup.
  • We require experience with Microsoft CA and PKI administration, including certificate generation and management.
  • We require fluent English; French is an advantage.
  • We require excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • We require the ability to read and interpret technical standards, schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
  • We require strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  • We require proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Visio.
  • We require familiarity with ITIL-based incident and change management tools.
  • We require the ability to work flexibly, including on-call duties and international travel.
  • Microsoft technical certifications and other relevant IT certifications are preferred.
  • National-level security clearance eligibility is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • We provide 2nd- and 3rd-line support for global IT systems and applications.
  • We maintain a comprehensive understanding of the full IT environment and guide stakeholders across the service landscape.
  • We drive root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective and preventative solutions.
  • We manage and optimise Windows Server environments, including physical and virtual servers, Active Directory, backups, patching, and PKI services.
  • We ensure adherence to compliance requirements and promote industry best practices, including ICAO, eIDAS, and ISO27001.
  • We plan, test, document, approve, and review changes, including rollback and mitigation plans.
  • We automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency through scripting.
  • We support disaster recovery and failover testing activities.
  • We work with internal teams and external suppliers to support global technical operations.
  • We maintain high-quality technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles.
  • We mentor junior engineers and encourage the adoption of best-practice standards.
  • We use and maintain tools for remote support, asset management, and service management.
  • We participate in an on-call support rotation and provide support during international deployments, training, and system implementations.
