Senior Network & Security Analyst

Salary: £43,500 - 66,500 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for 5 to 7+ years of experience in network engineering with strong cyber security exposure.
• We require proven experience with next-generation firewalls, such as Palo Alto.
• We require experience with endpoint detection and response tools.
• We require experience with SIEM platforms.
• We require experience with vulnerability management tools, such as Qualys.
• We require strong experience with Cisco switching, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking.
• We require experience with enterprise networking and wireless technologies, such as Aruba.
• We require experience with network load balancing.
• We require strong incident management and threat analysis capabilities.
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments is highly advantageous.
• We require demonstrable experience delivering infrastructure or security projects.

Responsibilities

• We own day-to-day cyber security operations to keep systems and data secure.
• We support and improve security tooling, including firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, and encryption.
• We monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents.
• We manage core network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Layer 2 and Layer 3, remote access, and load balancing.
• We run vulnerability checks and ensure patching is kept up to date.
• We use SIEM tools to identify and act on potential threats early.
• We support audits, access controls, and compliance requirements.
• We get involved in and lead security and infrastructure projects.
• We keep documentation and processes up to date.
• We work with third-party suppliers where needed.
• We support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• We work occasional weekends when needed and take part in an on-call operational rota.
