Salary: £34,000 - 38,000 per year

Requirements

  • We require excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • We require a minimum of 5 years of IT support experience, including at least 2 years in a Systems Administrator role.
  • We require previous experience in a 1st/2nd line helpdesk support role, providing support via email, chat, and phone.
  • We require experience administering Microsoft technology stacks, including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Entra ID, and Security and Compliance.
  • We require experience diagnosing and troubleshooting PC issues.
  • We require experience diagnosing and troubleshooting smartphone and tablet issues on Android and iOS.
  • We require experience using helpdesk and remote monitoring and management tools.
  • We require experience with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools.
  • We require an IT degree or equivalent experience.
  • We require Microsoft certifications including MD-100, MD-101, and MD-102.
  • We prefer SC-900 and MS-900 certifications.
  • We prefer knowledge of cybersecurity principles and experience supporting security audits.
  • We require strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills.
  • We require the ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and work calmly under pressure.
  • We require a customer-focused approach with strong user interaction skills and the ability to manage end-user expectations.
  • We require work authorisation for the United Kingdom.
  • We require a Bachelors degree.

Responsibilities

  • We maintain essential IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365 services, operating systems, security tools, applications, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
  • We work with the wider IT team to identify, test, and implement improvements to existing systems, services, and new tools.
  • We assist with maintaining and monitoring compliance and IT security, including data protection, GDPR, and information governance.
  • We act as the first point of contact for employees reporting IT issues through phone, email, and our helpdesk portal.
  • We take ownership of resolving first- and second-line support requests by investigating technical issues and applying fixes.
  • We support requests relating to user accounts, laptops, mobile phones, and cloud services.
  • We assist with resolving third-line support requests.
  • We support IT projects undertaken by the IT team.
  • We help develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
  • We assist with creating and maintaining IT documentation.
  • We provide feedback and suggestions to improve our systems and services.
  • We carry out other reasonable duties as required.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior System Administrator and Head of IT, supporting our helpdesk and helping maintain, configure, and develop our systems and infrastructure to ensure maximum performance, security, and availability. We offer full training on our systems and processes, a career development plan to help you progress beyond a first-line role, membership to an IT training platform, and contributions toward relevant Microsoft certifications. This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary of £34,000 to £38,000 per year, Monday to Friday, with home working or office-based work depending on location.
