Job Description
Salary: £30,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements
- Be an experienced legal IT Trainer with at least 3 years experience or in a similar role.
- Work collaboratively within a team; a willingness to support the objectives for the training team and enhance its reputation within the firm.
- Have excellent relationship building skills with the ability to deal with partners, fee earners and support staff at all levels.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to flex tone to suit the audience.
- Have a flexible, customer-focused approach and take the initiative when resolving issues.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Have strong administrative skills paying attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously but will ask for assistance and direction when needed.
- Experienced in the development of training courses and support materials.
- A passion for assisting and developing others.
- Experience with any of the following key systems would be advantageous: Document Management Systems (e.g. iManage/WorkSite), Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, M365, M365 Copilot or delivery of AI initiatives, Windows 10/Windows 11, Knowledge of time recording systems (e.g. Intapp Time), InterAction, Mimecast, Video editing software: Camtasia or Captivate.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective and professional induction training to new colleagues across standard and customised applications.
- Deliver upskilling programmes with the aim of raising skill levels across the firm.
- Support the delivery of rollouts for new or updated software or systems.
- Design new courses and programmes to support the firm for assigned projects.
- Participate in regular floor walking or provide at-desk or screen-sharing support to assist colleagues as appropriate.
- Create and maintain user documentation or videos to support induction courses or upskilling programmes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of existing technologies in use and learn new systems or improvements to current software as required.
- Actively contribute ideas to initiatives and innovations and to the improvement of documented processes.
- Analyse the quality and effectiveness of training that they deliver to support the evolving requirements of the business.
- Assist the IT Service Desk in resolving queries logged to the training team and undertake any ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Perform administrative tasks such as dealing with requests for support and training, scheduling, dealing with course bookings and requests, updating training attendance records.
