2nd Line Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years of experience in an MSP or similar fast-paced IT environment. You should have a strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and virtualization. Experience with backup, security, and monitoring tools is also essential. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and client service skills are a must. Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco) are desirable, and a full UK driving license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will provide 2nd line technical support via phone, remote tools, and onsite visits. You will troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Supporting and implementing IT infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and deployments, will also be part of your responsibilities. You will maintain and monitor client systems, networks, and security environments, and document technical issues, fixes, and project progress in line with our internal processes. Collaboration with 1st and 3rd line engineers will be essential to ensure seamless service delivery, and you will contribute to continuous improvement and client satisfaction initiatives.
