IT Consultant (Identity & Access Management)

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting Active Directory migrations and restructures
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory including domains, forests, trusts, DNS, and replication
• Experience using migration tools (e.g., Quest) for staged migrations and reporting
• Proven experience with Group Policy, OU design, and delegated administration
• Experience in identity management and directory object clean-up and remediation
• Ability to follow structured processes, runbooks, and validation procedures
• Strong troubleshooting skills across authentication and directory services
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Right to work in the UK
• Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and directory synchronisation concepts (desirable)
• Experience supporting privileged access models and security hardening (desirable)
• Knowledge of endpoint migration and domain join processes (desirable)
• Experience contributing to operational handover and support documentation (desirable)
• Familiarity with cloud computing and hybrid IT infrastructure environments (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Assist with Active Directory migrations, consolidations, and restructures
• Configure domain controllers, replication, DNS, and core infrastructure services
• Design and troubleshoot OU structures and Group Policy configurations
• Support pilots, cutovers, and validation activities
• Resolve authentication, directory, and policy-related problems
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams
• Produce build notes, validation evidence, and technical records
• Assist with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) synchronisation and identity management
• Execute and improve structured delivery processes and checklists
• Assist during early life support following project delivery
