Planning & Reporting Solution Consultant

Salary: £33,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a senior, business-facing professional with experience leading planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting solutions.
• We need someone with strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA programme environments and SAP planning and analytics capabilities.
• You should be able to work collaboratively with a Design Authority, Product Owner, and finance and performance management stakeholders.
• We need experience shaping solutions that align with a financial core and wider SAP product suite.
• You should understand Record-to-Report processes and how actuals, period-end close outputs, and consolidated results support plan-to-actual analysis and forecasting.
• We are looking for someone able to define reporting strategy and standards for a finance domain.
• You should be comfortable providing a coordinated view across procurement, sales, and wider programme domains.
• We expect strong stakeholder management and the ability to operate in a senior advisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• We lead the shaping and delivery of the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting solution.
• We collaborate with the Design Authority, Product Owner, and finance and performance management stakeholders.
• We ensure coherence between planning and reporting solutions, the financial core, and the wider SAP product suite.
• We act as the major owner for planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management and performance reporting.
• We support Record-to-Report led by the Finance Solution Consultant by consuming actuals, period-end close outputs, and consolidated results.
• We enable plan-to-actual analysis and forecasting through clear reporting and planning solutions.
• We own the reporting strategy and standards for the finance domain.
• We define what the business needs to see and how performance is framed.
• We provide a coordinating view to support reporting coherence across procurement, sales, and wider programme domains.
• We work alongside architecture roles while the technical design and build of the analytics and reporting platform is handled elsewhere.
