Responsibilities

• Lead the integration workstream from solution design through testing and deployment.
• Review and validate integration designs to ensure they align with business, security, and architectural requirements.
• Define and document integration strategies, patterns, and design principles.
• Work with implementation partners to challenge and validate proposed integration solutions.
• Ensure integrations support business processes across HR, Payroll, Finance, and third-party systems.
• Lead design discussions with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Coordinate integration dependencies across project workstreams.
• Review interface specifications, mapping documents, and technical design documentation.
• Support the definition of integration security, error handling, monitoring, and support processes.
• Oversee end-to-end integration testing, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Payroll Parallel Testing.
• Coordinate testing with payroll providers, banking partners, and other third-party vendors.
• Validate integration results, troubleshoot issues with implementation partners, and ensure timely resolution.
• Support cutover planning and go-live readiness from an integration perspective.
• Identify and manage integration risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.

We are supporting a client in the financial services industry on an ongoing Greenfield programme for an experienced Workday Integration Lead. This is an outside IR35 contract paying £600-£700 DOE, offered remotely with occasional travel to Central London, initially for 6 months with strong potential for long-term extensions. We are looking for someone to provide integration design leadership across the Workday implementation, acting as the subject matter expert for integration design, governance, and quality assurance rather than hands-on build delivery.
