Remote Java Developer with Microservices

Salary: £45,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java and Java 8+ features such as Streams and Lambda.
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong database knowledge across SQL and NoSQL.
• Familiarity with messaging queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Good understanding of design patterns, best practices, and security principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable Java-based applications using Microservices architecture.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with external systems.
• Work with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and security across our applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Perform code reviews, write unit tests, and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide quick resolutions.
