Remote Technology Consultant / Analyst

Salary: £45,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements

• We need a system administrator with experience in Dell PowerMax, VPLEX, Isilon, eNAS, and Cisco/Brocade SAN switches.
• We need experience with EMC Data Domain, Networker, and ECS backup technologies.
• We need hands-on experience with VMware and Linux/Red Hat operating systems.
• We need strong skills in installations, configurations, migrations, operational support, patching, and on-call support.
• We need experience handling incident, change, problem, and capacity management.
• We need the ability to plan and execute disaster recovery.
• We need strong troubleshooting and monitoring skills across storage and backup environments.

Responsibilities

• We install, configure, migrate, and support storage and backup systems.
• We monitor storage components, including volumes, LUNs, disks, and logs.
• We manage incidents, changes, problems, and capacity planning.
• We plan and execute disaster recovery activities.
• We monitor backup jobs, schedules, and logs to ensure successful backups.
• We perform storage health checks and performance monitoring through the console.
• We review controller mirroring configuration status from the console.
• We provide troubleshooting and operational support, including on-call coverage.
