Remote Senior Project IT Engineer

Salary: £25,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

• Proven experience in an MSP or multi-client technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Google, MDM, Cyber Security and Compliance, Migrations, Networking, and Virtualisation.
• Confident delivering technical projects independently.
• Familiarity with backup platforms, patching, monitoring, and OS troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting education clients is desirable but not essential.
• Proven track record of becoming the main technical lead for customers.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end IT infrastructure projects for a defined group of clients.
• Provide on-site and remote support as a senior escalation point.
• Take ownership of the client relationship from a technical standpoint.
• Assist in planning and design for future improvements to client environments.
• Ensure accurate documentation and high technical standards are maintained.
• Support and mentor junior engineers involved in shared delivery.

We are hiring a Senior Project IT Engineer for a full-time, permanent remote role with client visits across West and South Yorkshire. This is a client-focused technical leadership position where you will own IT delivery for a designated group of customers, work across infrastructure projects and high-level support, and help build long-term relationships through reliable, solution-led service. The salary is £30,000 to £45,000 depending on experience.
