Lead ML Engineer

Salary: £80,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements

• Commercial experience delivering machine learning solutions end to end
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience building data and ML pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure
• Practical experience with NLP and LLMs, including fine-tuning and applied use cases
• Solid understanding of MLOps, CI/CD for ML, and production model monitoring
• Experience working with stakeholders and translating business problems into technical solutions
• Experience building or integrating APIs, such as FastAPI, is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Lead our ML Engineering capability and contribute to our wider data and AI strategy
• Design, build, and productionise ML pipelines aligned to business goals
• Deliver NLP and LLM-driven solutions, including fine-tuning and deployment
• Implement strong MLOps practices across model training, deployment, and monitoring
• Work closely with Data Scientists to support, maintain, and improve models in production
• Build APIs and data products that enable ML solutions to be consumed across the business
