Requirements
- Completion of Level 2 Disclosure check prior to offer
- Strong understanding of ICT security and compliance principles
- Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in developing and promoting information security policies
- Knowledge of cyber risk management and assessments
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist information security and cyber risk advice to employees, elected members, and third-party suppliers
- Ensure compliance with the Councils core information security principles
- Coordinate security communications, reviews, risk assessments, and policy development
- Identify and mitigate risks to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Council information assets
- Act as the Councils primary point of contact for information security and cyber risk matters
- Deliver internal consultancy support across all Council services
