ICT Security Officer (Compliance)

Salary: £54,000 - 58,000 per year

Requirements

• Completion of Level 2 Disclosure check prior to offer
• Strong understanding of ICT security and compliance principles
• Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience in developing and promoting information security policies
• Knowledge of cyber risk management and assessments

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist information security and cyber risk advice to employees, elected members, and third-party suppliers
• Ensure compliance with the Councils core information security principles
• Coordinate security communications, reviews, risk assessments, and policy development
• Identify and mitigate risks to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Council information assets
• Act as the Councils primary point of contact for information security and cyber risk matters
• Deliver internal consultancy support across all Council services
