Remote Business Systems Analyst / IT Applications Designer

Salary: £30,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Extensive relevant and demonstrable experience of IT system design and analysis
• Software life cycle experience (SDLC)
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Experience producing high-level design documents
• Some experience of UX design
• Experience with prototyping and wireframing
• Experience of UML
• ITIL awareness
• Experience with various software development methodologies
• Software development background preferred
• Experience in financial services, insurance, investments and/or pensions environment

Responsibilities

• We design our clients IT applications
• We provide key input into the creation and maintenance of design patterns
• We collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design, prototype, and guide delivery of elegant solutions
• We communicate design solutions to delivery teams and stakeholders
• We support problem solving and help facilitate the build process
• We evaluate and challenge IT system requirements from Subject Matter Experts
• We ensure requirements are complete and clear enough to produce fit-for-purpose low-level solution design documents
• We enable accurate IT solution development estimates
• We define end-to-end solution options and make reasoned recommendations on suitability
• We help prepare Solution Design Leads and Solutions Designers for evidence-based decisions at the relevant boards
• We build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and outsourced service providers
• We support the transition of the solution into business-as-usual
• We assist in resolving live technical incidents and system problems when required

The role is based in Warwickshire with one day a week onsite and the rest remote working.
