Requirements

• Previous experience within a 1st / 2nd Line, Service Desk or Desktop Support environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktop and common business applications.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and user account administration.
• Good understanding of Active Directory / identity and access management.
• Experience supporting laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripheral hardware.
• Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills and confidence supporting users at all levels.
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and manage multiple incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support across desktop, laptop, software and user-access issues.
• Troubleshoot incidents across hardware, operating systems, applications and connectivity.
• Manage user onboarding, offboarding, account access and permissions.
• Own incidents and service requests through to resolution, escalating where necessary.
• Support users remotely and face-to-face across our London office.
• Maintain accurate ticketing, technical documentation and knowledge-base information.
• Work closely with wider IT teams to resolve recurring issues and improve the overall user experience.

We are currently searching for an experienced 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our London-based organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on technical support role across a busy user environment, with hybrid working in London. The contract rate is £200 - £250 per day.
