Senior Analytics Engineer - Manchester

Salary: £60,000 - 68,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills
• Experience building advanced dashboards using Power BI, Looker, or similar tools
• Solid understanding of data modelling, including dimensional and star schema approaches
• Hands-on experience working in large-scale BI environments
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge, prioritise, and guide decisions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
• Experience with BI migrations is highly beneficial
• Experience with dbt or modern data transformation frameworks is highly desirable
• Exposure to Looker, Omni, or semantic layer tools is a plus
• Background in analytics engineering or hybrid BI/data roles is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end BI migration from Power BI to Omni
• Review and rationalise existing dashboards, identifying duplication and consolidation opportunities
• Work closely with stakeholders to define what truly needs to be rebuilt
• Build and optimise dashboards in Power BI in the short term and Omni in the long term
• Develop and maintain data models and pipelines
• Support the move toward dbt-driven data modelling and transformations
• Ensure reporting is scalable, maintainable, and aligned to business needs

This is a high-impact, 8-month FTC role with urgent start timing, ideally within 0-2 weeks and up to 1 month considered. The position is fully remote across the UK, Sweden, Germany, or Spain, with optional hybrid working in London.
