FinOps Analyst

Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements

• Experience with cloud platforms (primarily AWS; Azure desirable) and cloud cost management tools
• Strong understanding of FinOps principles and delivering cloud cost efficiencies
• Knowledge of cloud pricing models, billing, and core infrastructure services
• Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost models
• Confidence working with Finance, Procurement, Engineering, and SRE stakeholders
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with tagging and cost attribution best practices (Desirable)
• FinOps Foundation certification (or willingness to work towards)
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or similar

Responsibilities

• Analysing cloud spend to identify trends, anomalies, and cost-saving opportunities, driving optimisation initiatives with engineering teams
• Supporting project inception and delivery to ensure infrastructure is designed and forecasted cost-effectively
• Developing reporting, forecasts, and variance analysis to support budgeting and decision-making
• Tracking usage, tagging compliance, and improving cost visibility, accountability, and transparency
• Contributing to FinOps governance, training, vendor negotiations, and promoting cost-aware practices across Engineering and SRE
