Senior UI Engineer - Belfast

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, and React
• Experience building reusable component libraries and SSR applications
• Understanding of responsive, adaptive, and mobile-first design
• Familiarity with Figma or Adobe XD
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Desirable: Experience with Webpack, Babel, accessibility standards, design systems, and SEO for front-end
• Desirable: Experience working in cross-functional product teams

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, mobile-first interfaces using HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript (ES6), and TypeScript
• Develop and maintain production-grade React applications, including SSR and reusable component libraries
• Ensure consistent design implementation and brand adherence
• Optimise performance, scalability, and accessibility of web pages
• Write clean, testable code and maintain front-end test suites (Jest)
• Translate UX designs into production-ready UI using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
• Collaborate with back-end teams to integrate APIs (REST/GraphQL)
• Communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
