Data Scientist

Salary: £36,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning professional
• Strong programming capability in Python, R, or similar
• Experience in handling diverse data sources
• Proven ability to build predictive models and generate actionable insights
• Comfortable working with large, complex datasets
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Naturally curious and adaptable, interested in AI, machine learning, and NLP

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines from SQL databases, APIs, and both structured and unstructured data sources
• Build predictive and prescriptive models, including forecasting, regression, and clustering
• Design and deploy NLP-based solutions to derive insights from unstructured data
• Develop and implement generative AI use cases, including RAG, fine-tuning, and entity extraction
• Create dashboards and visualisations using Power BI to communicate insights clearly
• Present findings to senior stakeholders and client-facing teams
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance standards are maintained
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, and operations
• Support the ongoing development of AI and innovation initiatives
