IT Network Technician

Salary: £30,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements

• Excellent technical skills in network installation and maintenance
• Strong organizational abilities
• Experience with computer hardware and software
• Understanding of software licensing and compliance
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy
• Knowledge of network troubleshooting and system security
• Capability to perform Root Cause Analysis
• Good communication skills for negotiating with external organizations
• Ability to provide support during silent hours as needed
• Experience monitoring and maintaining server performance

Responsibilities

• Source, install, and maintain IT infrastructure components including hardware and software
• Ensure functionality and availability of the business network
• Resolve network issues and ensure all cables are traceable
• Manage and maintain local and remote servers
• Oversee the Active Directory / Group Policy structure
• Keep an updated inventory of all company hardware and software
• Maintain documentation of all IT work undertaken
• Ensure company websites are functional and well-maintained
• Establish and run appropriate data backup levels
• Ensure system security with appropriate virus protection
• Manage the telephone system and call recording devices
• Provide IT support during silent hours if necessary
• Assist with projects requiring negotiation or documentation
