Our international client with offices in Cape Town, is looking for a Data Operator to play a key role in maintaining the quality, accuracy and reliability of their datasets.

This is a detail-driven position where you will capture, maintain and validate data from a range of relevant sources. Your attention to detail, consistency and sound judgement will directly influence the quality of the data and products the wider business relies on.

Responsibilities Capture and maintain data across relevant sources to a high standard of accuracy and completeness, including regular accommodation price and availability updatesApply quality assurance to your own work; identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, and gapsResearch and verify data across multiple sourcesGather market intelligence to support the development of the datasetObserve and analyse data changes across the student accommodation sectorFollow data guidelines, processes, and quality assurance checks consistentlyResolve issues independently where possible; escalate promptly when notOrganise your workload to meet deadlines without compromising qualityCommunicate updates, questions, and blockers clearly; document your work for others to followSupport dataset-related projects and other areas of the business during busy periods, as neededRequirements Matric, relevant qualification highly advantageousStrong, sustained attention to detail during repetitive and high-volume workSound research and problem-solving: verifies before trusting, investigates before escalating; researches and makes informed decisions with good justificationClear written and spoken EnglishGood time management and self-organisationTakes ownership of tasks end to end; asks for support appropriately; works well in a teamComfortable learning new tools and adapting as processes changeConfident with computers and everyday digital tools
