Salary: £95,000 - 130,000 per year
Requirements
- Extensive cloud networking experience in IT consulting or a similar role, focused specifically on Oracle Cloud technologies, including cloud infrastructure and cloud applications.
- Strong architectural acumen with a track record of defining and responding to architectural principles to design robust, scalable, secure Oracle Cloud solutions.
- Proven experience leading and managing technical designs and guiding broader program teams on complex Oracle Cloud implementation or migration projects.
- Hands-on experience with a broad range of Oracle Cloud services, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure landing zone variants, virtual cloud networks, load balancers, web application firewall, network firewall, virtual private network, local peering, remote peering, route tables, and Oracle Services Network.
- Experience designing and implementing multi-region disaster recovery, DNS, failover, and switchback requirements for business continuity.
- Experience engineering automation of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure network provisioning, deployment, and maintenance through Infrastructure as Code.
- Proficiency in DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud enabling technologies, including private endpoint architectures for Integration Cloud (OIC), Visual Builder (VBCS), Analytics Cloud (OAC), and Autonomous Database (ADB).
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Applications SaaS controls such as web application firewall, qualified targets, allowlisting, location-based access control, and virtual private networks.
- Relevant Oracle Cloud certifications, such as OCI Architect Professional, OCI Networking Professional, or OCI Multi Cloud Professional.
- Proficiency in network security frameworks and experience informing and implementing controls for Oracle Cloud solutions.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a pragmatic approach to overcoming technical challenges and structuring ambiguity.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Ability to pass UK Government SC clearance vetting.
- Desirable: experience with private cloud, data centre networks, and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Desirable: experience with other public cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Desirable: industry-specific knowledge relevant to our client base, such as Public Sector, Financial Services, or Private Sector.
Responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in the design, architecture, and delivery of complex Oracle Cloud solutions for our client base.
- Drive technical excellence, manage workstreams, foster client relationships, and contribute to the growth of our Oracle Cloud practice.
- Own the design and architecture of integrated cloud network solutions for large-scale Oracle Cloud implementations, migrations, and transformations.
- Lead the detailed design and infrastructure as code engineering of Oracle Cloud network services.
- Provide deep technical guidance and hands-on support across Oracle Cloud networking and related services.
- Coach and advise cloud applications-led enterprise transformation.
- Mentor and develop junior consultants and engineers, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on network controls across the design, implementation, and operate lifecycles.
- Integrate network design and delivery into Oracle Cloud projects, aligning with technical teams and timelines and contributing to the completeness and quality of deliverables.
- Support business development activities, including contributing to proposals, presenting solutions to prospective clients, and estimating effort.
- Provide input and guidance for asset development and strategic investments.
- Maintain awareness of cloud vendor developments, trends, and emerging technologies, contributing to our intellectual capital and innovative solutions.
- Ensure technical quality, adherence to architectural standards, and proactive identification and mitigation of technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
