Requirements

• We are looking for a proven Cloud Platform Engineer with experience in the Energy / Oil & Gas industry.
• We require strong hands-on expertise in Azure cloud engineering; AWS experience is highly desirable.
• We need proven experience with FinOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and modern CI/CD platforms and workflows.
• We are seeking strong operational infrastructure support and maintenance experience, including cloud data centres and systems such as servers, storage, backup and recovery, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and security services.
• We want someone who can help shape cloud strategy by providing tactical input to the Cloud Architect, driving FinOps and SRE practices, and governing managed service providers.
• We need capability in modern delivery practices, including GitOps, Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, ARM, and CI/CD development, with experience transitioning from Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise.
• We require excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Microsoft certification, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, would be an advantage.
• AWS knowledge and AWS certifications would be a plus.
• Immediate availability would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• We will rely on you to support and maintain cloud platforms and operational infrastructure within the Energy / Oil & Gas sector.
• You will manage systems across servers, storage, backup and recovery, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and security services.
• You will help shape our cloud strategy by providing tactical input to the Cloud Architect.
• You will drive FinOps and SRE practices across the platform.
• You will help govern the work of managed service providers and third-party teams.
• You will promote and support the adoption of modern engineering practices such as GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD.
• You will contribute to the transition from Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise.
• You will collaborate with stakeholders and communicate effectively across teams.
