Junior Software Engineer (Remote - DC Capital Region, DoD Secret Clearance Required)

Job Description: Junior Software Engineer Clearance: DoW Secret Requirement: Immediate hire, Full time, Full benefits Work week: 8 hrs/day, Telework: Remote • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other relevant field.

Salary: $95K Job Summary: Tasks involve designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging application software. The candidate will participate in software research and collaborate with team members to plan, design, develop, and test software solutions.

Responsibilities include analyzing user needs, evaluating system capabilities, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with software standards.

Basic Qualifications: • 2-4 years of working experience • Experience with Java software development • Experience with basic database queries and PL/SQL programming • Experience with version control tools such as Git • Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) • Experience with front-end user interface design and development • Experience working with application servers (Apache Tomcat, etc.) • Knowledge of Oracle databases • Experience using IDEs (e.g., Eclipse) • Exposure to agile or iterative development environments • Strong desire to learn and grow in AWS cloud technologies and integrating Generative AI into software development Please contact me to discuss the position and with an agreement on your compensation am prepared to send you an offer letter.
