Junior Software Developer

Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements

• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Strong experience with React and Next.js.
• Experience using Node.js.
• Proven ability in UI development and CSS styling libraries.
• Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and frontend-backend integration.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and testing practices (TDD).
• Desirable: Python and FastAPI for backend development.
• Desirable: Experience with AI-assisted development tools and AI agents.
• Desirable: Awareness of Model Context Protocol.
• Desirable: Experience working with Figma or collaborating from design files.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern web applications using React and Next.js.
• Develop clean, intuitive user interfaces with a strong focus on UI design and usability.
• Integrate frontend components with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work with Node.js and related development tools to support the full application lifecycle.
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and ensure high-quality code through testing and TDD practices.
• Assist in the transition towards highly automated, data-driven lending processes.
