Requirements

• Experienced Azure DevOps Engineer
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-native services
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Containerisation and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Scripting skills with PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Exposure to C#, .NET or ASP.NET environments
• Experience migrating applications and services from on-premise environments into Azure
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging and observability tools
• Strong understanding of cloud security and governance principles

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Azure infrastructure and platform services
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automation tooling
• Support the migration and modernisation of existing applications into Azure
• Improve monitoring, logging and observability across environments
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment and performance issues
• Ensure environments adhere to security, resilience and disaster recovery best practices

We are a large UK-based legal organisation with an Applications and Development team. We are offering an Azure DevOps Engineer a 3-month contract paying £500 to £550 per day, outside IR35, with a remote-first setup and very occasional office visits to Birmingham, typically one day per month. The role is available for an immediate start, and you will help drive automation, improve platform reliability, and support the migration and optimisation of applications within Azure.
