Network Engineer, Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements

• Experience designing and operating Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN
• Excellent understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
• Experience with VRF-based segmentation, AAR, QoS design and enforcement
• Hands-on experience with Cisco vManage dashboards and APIs
• Proven experience operating as a technical authority
• Strong governance experience in regulated or Critical National Infrastructure environments
• Ability to build strong customer relationships
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility to provide 24/7 Shift Rota
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM integration
• Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE Enterprise) is desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead and support complex network changes
• Assist in incident troubleshooting as needed
• Provide input for WAN/LAN changes, routing and design decisions
• Conduct risk assessments for proposed changes
• Maintain a strong end-to-end view across WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi
• Ensure seamless handoff between domains
• Provide governance including configuration drift detection and remediation
• Help develop best practices for security posture and firmware upgrade strategies
• Support 3rd Line teams on complex routing scenarios and incidents
• Act as a technical advisor to both the customer and internal teams
