Requirements

• We require current SC Clearance.
• We require strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• We require hands-on AWS experience, including EC2, EKS/Kubernetes, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, and Route 53.
• We require proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab CI.
• We require a solid understanding of DevOps principles and automated deployment practices.
• We require proficiency with Git, version control, and modern development workflows.
• We require experience with containerisation and orchestration, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• We require scripting and programming capability in tools such as Python, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible.
• We require a strong understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices.
• We require experience working as a Platform Engineer or DevOps Engineer, typically with 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• We will design, develop, and deploy AWS infrastructure using Terraform as Infrastructure as Code.
• We will build, manage, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab.
• We will work across AWS services including EC2, EKS/Kubernetes, RDS, S3, Route 53, VPC, and Lambda.
• We will manage containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm deployments.
• We will implement and maintain DevOps practices across the full software delivery lifecycle.
• We will write and maintain scripts and automation using Terraform, Python, Bash, and Ansible.
• We will ensure infrastructure security through IAM, encryption, and network security best practices.
• We will support operational activities, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues.
• We will configure and maintain monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• We will collaborate with engineering teams on service design, deployment, and continuous improvement.

We are recruiting an SC Cleared DevOps Engineer for one of our local clients on a 6-month+ contract, offered at £550 per day inside IR35 and fully remote. This is primarily an engineering-focused role with some operational responsibility within our wider platform operating model. We are looking for someone who can help us build, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure while driving DevOps best practices across the environment.
