Job Description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Bridgeway Benefit Technologies is seeking a QA Engineer to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
The QA Engineer will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through automated and manual testing practices, collaborating closely with various stakeholders to improve user experience and reduce defects.
Responsibilities Analyze and understand business, product, infrastructure, and technical requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverageCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify risks, and ensure acceptance criteria are testable and automatableDefine testing strategies and approaches that align with DevOps and CI/CD practicesIdentify testing scope, objectives, resources, timelines, and deliverables for automated and manual testing effortsDesign, develop, and maintain well-structured, reusable, and maintainable automated test cases and frameworksCreate and manage automated test scripts and test suites within Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar platformsExecute and maintain automated and manual tests, including functional, regression, performance, usability, and security testingInitiate and monitor automated test runs, analyze results, and validate test coverage for assigned scrum teamsIdentify, document, prioritize, and track defects and inconsistencies, partnering closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and validate fixesDevelop a strong understanding of user story sizing, test planning, and test coverage within Agile and Scrum workflowsMaintain clear and detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, automation frameworks, and regression testing resultsPrepare and communicate test results, regression reports, and quality metrics to technical and non-technical stakeholdersActively contribute to the automation roadmap by identifying opportunities to increase automation coverage and improve testing efficiencyRecommend and implement process, tooling, and framework improvements to enhance the effectiveness, scalability, and reliability of the QA practiceStay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in test automation, quality engineering, and secure software development Skills 4+ years of professional software quality assurance experience, including 2+ years in test automationProficiency with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., TestComplete, Playwright)Solid programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScriptExperience working with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOpsSolid understanding of software testing fundamentals, automated testing strategies, quality engineering principles, and test design best practicesProven technical foundation including SQL, database concepts, APIs, web-based applications, and networking fundamentalsExperience building, and maintaining automated test frameworks, tools, and reusable test componentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related fieldExperience in large-scale or multi-platform environments is a plusProficiency working in Agile/Scrum environments preferred Company Overview Bridgeway Benefit Technologies provides benefits administration technology solutions for multiemployers.
