• We require strong troubleshooting skills, including backend analysis.
• We require experience supporting hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
• We require confidence working across multiple sites and delivering in-person support.
• We require the ability to manage priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• We require experience supporting VIP users and handling escalations.
• We require a full UK driving licence.
• We require candidates to be available for site-based work across borough locations.
• We require candidates to be willing to undergo pre-employment vetting checks.

Responsibilities

• We provide 2nd line support and deliver high-quality workplace technology services to council staff.
• We resolve 1st and 2nd line incidents through face-to-face support, telephony, and remote tools.
• We deliver hands-on support across multiple council sites.
• We install, configure, and decommission IT equipment, including cabling and network patching.
• We support print services and liaise with third-party providers.
• We manage and prioritise escalations, including VIP support cases.
• We work collaboratively with wider Digital Services teams on issue resolution and projects.

We are a West London local authority seeking an experienced Workplace IT Engineer to join our IT and Digital Services team on an ongoing temporary basis. This is a full-time, site-based role supporting our staff across multiple locations within the borough, with an ASAP start available. The assignment offers a daily rate of £174 PAYE or £225 via umbrella and is subject to pre-employment vetting checks.
