Salary: £49,000 - 89,000 per year

Requirements

• Kotlin, or strong modern Java 17+ with a willingness to learn
• Reactive streams experience, such as Flux, Mono, coroutines, or backpressure
• Schema/type thinking with OpenAPI, Avro, Protobuf, or similar
• Awareness of event-driven architecture, with Kafka or RabbitMQ a plus
• Strong testing habits and clean, pragmatic code
• Curiosity and adaptability
• Full-stack willingness, with Angular, React, Vue, or similar
• Active use of AI-assisted coding tools
• Strong written English for a distributed, mostly async team
• 5+ years of professional experience shipping production systems

Responsibilities

• Work across our data integration platform and our open-source schema language and ecosystem
• Build the integration platform, including streaming pipelines, query execution, API composition, schema resolution, and production systems used at real financial institutions
• Contribute to our open-source schema language, including compiler, type system, and query engine work
• Help build our AI agent on Spring AI, orchestrating integrations autonomously
• Support frontend work, mainly Angular and some React
• Work autonomously with context and support rather than daily assigned tickets
• Collaborate constructively when things break or priorities shift
• Bring genuine customer empathy
• Share your work openly internally and externally
• Work at startup pace, where some days are scrappy

We are rethinking enterprise integration for developers and AI agents with a semantic layer: describe the data you need, and our platform gets it fast, deterministically, securely, self-repairing, auditable, and scalable. We are already live with banks and financial institutions and are hiring to build the product further. This is a remote-first role in UK-friendly timezones with occasional onsite office days roughly monthly. We offer a salary of GBP 70,000-90,000 plus early-stage equity, along with a budget for conferences and learning and a hardware and tooling budget. We are a mostly async team with a focus on autonomy, collaboration, customer empathy, and open sharing of work.
