Senior Frontend Engineer – Growth

Job Description: Build agent-forward onboarding experiences where an AI agent teaches users by clicking, highlighting, demonstrating the app, and speaking to them Build the experience that turns connected inbox data into detected deals, contacts, and a full book of business Design experiments by deciding what to instrument, defining funnels, and structuring metrics for B2B conversion and user behavior Own experimentation in Amplitude end to end Work across onboarding, activation, billing, import, and other product surfaces Ship prototypes quickly, identify the fastest path to insight, and standardize and clean up successful experiments Help shape how Growth frontend engineering works at Close Collaborate across teams and potentially move between teams as work shiftsRequirements: Seasoned frontend engineer React experience; familiarity with Vue, Svelte, or Solid is applicable Ability to select appropriate tools for a problem Experience with varied frontend problems, collaboration, and self-direction Fluency in experimentation, including identifying experiment data points, understanding funnels, and designing features that produce meaningful data Experience with B2B experiment structures Amplitude implementation-side experience is a strong bonus Experience shipping LLM-backed features to real users Understanding of trustworthy AI interfaces, streamed responses, uncertain states, and agent-driven UIs Daily use of AI tools in development workflows Builder-first approach and comfort shipping initial iterations, then standardizing and cleaning up Ability to work remotely Ability to legally work in the United States Availability for international week-long team offsites Proficiency with TypeScript, React, Vite, Amplitude, CSS Modules, Storybook, Playwright, and WebSocketsBenefits: 100% remote work Company-funded AI tools, including Claude Code, Codex, and other best-in-class developer tools Learning and experimentation treated as part of the work Annual company-wide in-person team retreat/offsite International week-long team offsites Opportunity to work with open-source projects and ideas
