Full-stack Engineer

Salary: £95,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements

• We require applicants to hold, or be willing to be security cleared to, UK security clearance at Developed Vetting level.
• We are looking for hands-on experience with one or more relevant technologies or equivalent experience.
• We need proficiency in modern front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• We need strong server-side development skills using languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
• We need experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modelling for government applications.
• We need the ability to analyse complex issues and implement effective solutions for public sector challenges.
• We need flexibility to navigate changing project requirements in a dynamic public sector environment.
• We need strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Desirable: familiarity with government processes, policies, and systems.
• Desirable: understanding of UX principles to create accessible and user-friendly applications.
• Desirable: proven ability to develop and maintain well-documented RESTful APIs.
• Desirable: experience implementing and adhering to security best practices for government data.

Responsibilities

• We design, develop, and deploy robust web applications for public sector projects.
• We contribute to the full software development lifecycle in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• We create responsive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies and frameworks.
• We develop secure and efficient server-side logic using appropriate languages and frameworks.
• We implement security best practices and ensure compliance with government regulations.
• We conduct regular security assessments and help address vulnerabilities.
• We develop and maintain well-documented RESTful APIs for seamless system communication.
• We work with project managers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• We communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to gather feedback and maintain alignment with project goals.
