Network Engineer (100% Remote contract- Cisco route/switch, Python)

Network Engineer (100% Remote contract- Cisco, routing, Python) Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team.

This engineer will have a strong routing/switching background as well as have some hands on network automation and scripting experience. They will help to support large scale networks across an enterprise organization.

Responsibilities: Setting up and configuring routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF Utilizing Cisco Equipment for routing/switching and troubleshooting Experience with firewall rules and policies, maintenance troubleshooting Utilizing Python for network automation and process automation Using virtualized network infrastructure across multiple platforms like Cisco OS and Juniper Apply today if your background includes: Strong routing protocol knowledge and experience- configuring BGP, OSPF, etc.

Cisco route, switch, and configuration experience Experience using Python or another scripting language for network automation Significant network troubleshooting background across large scale networks Experience communicating cross functionally with various teams and business units Ability to work a long-term contract on a remote basis
