Salary: £117,000 - 117,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong networking and IP networking knowledge.
• We need someone with experience in virtualisation, Linux, and VPN technologies.
• We require experience with FreeRADIUS, as this is crucial to the role.
• We expect experience with VMware, as our servers run on VMware.
• We need someone who can speak fluent English.
• We require British citizenship to be considered for this position.
• Experience with SoftEther would be beneficial.
• Sage accounting experience would be beneficial.
• Veeam backup experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• We will have you join our VPN team on a contract basis, initially for 6 months, with the possibility of going permanent if the fit is right.
• We will have you move internal servers to cloud-based software with integrated backups.
• We will need you to build and integrate a new VPN protocol into our SQL-based system.
• We will have you replace our obsolete VPN technology by developing new scripts and testing integrations across multiple routers.
• We will have you migrate current RADIUS servers from hardware-based infrastructure to cloud-based solutions.
• We will rely on you to assist with IP networking and any networking issues we encounter.
• We will need you to help develop further VPN protocol solutions as our network continues to grow.
• We will have you update our Sage accounting program running on a Windows server.
• We may ask you to help with website development from time to time.
• We will have you set up and manage RADIUS servers.

We are a VPN company looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on an Outside IR35 contract. This is a fully remote role, although we would ideally like someone who can commute to our office in Haslingden once or twice a month. Our environment includes multiple dedicated lines across different data centres, and we are continuing to grow, so we need someone who can help us scale and modernise our infrastructure.
