• We prefer candidates with experience in housing, complaints, audit preparation, or regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• We will ask you to take full ownership of the Housing Ombudsman portal.
• We will expect you to log, manage, and audit all cases within the portal.
• We will need you to identify and rectify historical data gaps.
• We will rely on you to ensure case management is accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
• We will ask you to gather robust evidence and compile high-quality case histories.
• We will need you to proactively identify risks and address record gaps ahead of our regulatory audit.
• We will expect you to manage completion dates and chasers to maintain 100% compliance with Ombudsman timeframes.
• We will ask you to act as the professional first point of contact for the Housing Ombudsman Service.
• We will need you to collaborate across our business to obtain the information required for each case.
• We will expect you to help steady the ship during a critical period for our team.

We are a national social housing provider offering a critical 3-month temporary opportunity for an experienced Housing Ombudsman portal specialist. This is a fully remote role, with the option to work from our Bradford office as often as you like each week. The salary is negotiable based on skills and experience, with an indicative range of circa £30,000 to £40,000. This is an important role where you can make a tangible impact from day one by supporting our team ahead of an upcoming regulatory audit and strengthening our case management processes.
