Junior Site Reliability Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements

• Experience managing servers in the cloud
• Proactive, not reactive approach
• Production systems awareness
• Possibly a graduate with a placement year or some relevant experience, or someone working in a support/infrastructure position
• AWS cloud infrastructure experience (ideal), or Azure/GCP considered
• Familiarity with Windows and some Linux servers
• Knowledge of NginX, IIS, virtualization, web services, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Experience with MSSQL Server and PowerShell
• Desire to learn about Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and containerization (Docker)

Responsibilities

• Maintain hosting infrastructure to ensure availability of web, database, and messaging systems
• Manage servers across development, test, and production environments
• Monitor and respond to infrastructure events such as availability and capacity management
• Be proactive with infrastructure upgrades

We are excited to offer a great opportunity for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer to join our organization as we transition towards a DevOps environment. You will be part of a leading software house located in central Bath, focusing on building and maintaining infrastructure for our SaaS products. We are heavily investing in our technical environment and are looking for an engineer who can assist with new tech implementations.
