Principal Software Engineer

Salary: £70,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong background in TypeScript / JavaScript (Angular)
• Deep experience with distributed systems, microservices, and APIs
• Solid understanding of connectivity (TCP/IP, device communication, telemetry)
• Experience working with Linux environments and Kubernetes
• Ability to communicate confidently with both engineers and senior stakeholders
• Proven experience leading teams including remote and offshore collaboration
• A STEM degree is required, reflecting the level of technical depth and problem-solving involved

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced real-time software systems for safety-critical environments
• Design and implement solutions that connect physical devices (IoT) with real-time data processing
• Deliver actionable insights through modern web applications
• Collaborate with a talented engineering team on complex challenges
• Work with diverse customer use cases across multiple Kubernetes environments
• Experiment with new tools, architectures, and AI integrations
• Contribute to the maintenance of microservices and distributed architectures
