Senior QA Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with 4-5+ years of experience in QA across manual and automation testing.
• We require experience testing Salesforce and CRM-based applications.
• We ideally want someone at senior level with some mentorship experience.
• We need hands-on automation testing experience, ideally with Playwright for UI and API testing.
• We require strong working experience with JIRA for defect management and ideally Xray for test execution, traceability, and reporting.
• We need a good understanding of APIs, JSON payloads, integrations, and web application architecture.
• We are looking for someone who is methodical, detail-driven, and curious in their testing approach.
• We require strong communication and documentation skills.
• We want a collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• We value experience influencing QA processes, standards, or tooling within Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• We execute functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing across web applications and Salesforce.
• We review acceptance criteria and refine test scenarios where required.
• We create high-quality test cases in Xray, ensuring full requirements coverage and traceability.
• We validate CRM workflows, permissions, custom logic, data flows, and third-party integrations.
• We perform end-to-end testing across CRM journeys, including cross-system interactions.
• We design, develop, and maintain scalable automated UI and API test frameworks using Playwright.
• We drive the evolution of our automation strategy, improving coverage, reliability, and maintainability across the test suite.
• We support the growth of a scalable automation suite to improve regression speed and reliability.
• We use Xray to manage test cases, test runs, and test plans.
• We log, track, and validate defects in JIRA, producing clear and actionable bug reports.
• We contribute to structured QA reporting and continuous process improvement.
• We collaborate with developers, BAs, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and testability.
• We communicate risks, defects, and findings clearly during sprint cycles.
• We support discussions around Definition of Done and quality expectations.
• We act as a quality advocate within the team, promoting best practices.
• We support more junior QA engineers where required, contributing to a high-performing QA capability.
