Requirements

• We require NHS or government experience; candidates without this experience will not be considered.
• We require strong experience in test automation using Playwright and/or Selenium.
• We require proficiency in TypeScript and/or Java for test development.
• We require solid experience with CI/CD tooling and integrating automated tests into deployment pipelines.
• We require proven integration testing experience across complex, distributed systems.
• We require experience working in an Agile delivery environment alongside cross-functional teams.
• We require strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• We require the ability to work remotely and independently with occasional travel to London.

Responsibilities

• We design, build, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright or Selenium.
• We write and maintain test code in TypeScript and/or Java to a high standard.
• We plan and execute integration testing across complex, distributed system components.
• We embed automated testing within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring quality gates are in place throughout the deployment process.
• We develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases across functional, regression, and integration testing.
• We work closely with developers and architects to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• We identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, escalating risk where appropriate.
• We provide clear and concise test reporting to the wider programme team.

We are supporting a consultancy on a major NHS digital programme and are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join an established delivery team. This is a remote role with occasional travel to London. The engagement is for six months with the view to extend, and the day rate is £400 per day inside IR35. We are focused on delivering high-quality digital solutions within a collaborative, Agile environment, working closely with developers, architects, and the wider programme team to ensure reliability and quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
