Requirements
- We require proven experience in a Test Architect or senior test leadership role.
- We require strong experience in non-functional testing, particularly Performance Verification Testing (PVT) and Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT).
- We require demonstrable expertise in testing Oracle-based systems and databases.
- We require the ability to design and implement test automation frameworks.
- We require strong analytical skills with experience evaluating systems from an end-to-end perspective.
- We require excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- We prefer experience writing high-performance SQL for test data management.
- We prefer proficiency in Python for test automation and tooling.
- We prefer experience with JMeter for performance testing.
- We prefer familiarity with IBM MQ and messaging systems.
- We require a strategic thinker with a passion for quality engineering.
- We require strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- We require a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- We require comfort working within complex, enterprise-level environments.
- We require UK citizenship.
- We require a minimum of 5 years continuous UK residency.
- We require candidates to be currently based in the UK.
Responsibilities
- We will define and implement the overall test strategy and architecture across multiple workstreams.
- We will lead the design and execution of non-functional testing, including PVT and OAT.
- We will architect and develop scalable and robust test automation frameworks.
- We will provide expertise in testing Oracle database solutions, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- We will analyse end-to-end system flows to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities to improve quality and delivery outcomes.
- We will collaborate with delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with testing standards and best practices.
- We will drive improvements in feature delivery from an end-to-end testing perspective.
- We will manage and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring expectations are met and risks are clearly understood.
- We will influence the future of testing within a large-scale programme.
- We will work with modern tools and methodologies to maintain the highest standards of quality and performance.

We are seeking a highly experienced Test Architect for an ASAP start through to December 2027. This is a hybrid role, remote within the UK with travel to London (York Road) as required.
