Lead Java Developer

Salary: £30,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Proven experience in Java development with a focus on Spring Boot
• Proficiency in version control systems such as Git and familiarity with DevOps practices
• Experience with MongoDB for database management
• Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services
• Active and valid SC Clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Java Engineers, Front-end Developers, and Quality Engineers
• Design and implement modern solutions for Central Government projects
• Oversee the quality of code produced by the team
• Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams to accelerate project delivery
• Modernise legacy services into scalable, cloud-aligned platforms
