Salary: £51,000 - 91,000 per year
Requirements
- We are looking for a fully remote Software Engineer based in the UK or EU.
- Experience in game development, with at least one commercial title involving server backends for AAA games, free-to-play mobile games, casino apps, or similar high-concurrency products.
- Production experience with at least one of Java, Golang, C#, C++, or Kotlin.
- Experience with one or more cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- AWS Certification at Associate level or above would be advantageous.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Demonstrable database experience with both SQL and NoSQL.
- Experience building distributed applications.
- Experience with Git, Perforce, or other source control software.
- Ability to adapt to new tools, languages, and concepts as required by the project.
- Knowledge of Microservices and Service-Oriented Architectures, especially Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience using or building CI/CD pipelines to validate and test code.
- Understanding of how to use LLMs to process and query structured and unstructured data.
- Experience using Gen AI for code generation.
- Ability to create supporting documentation, designs, and comments.
- Excellent time management and ability to work autonomously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to comprehend and follow direction.
- Clear communicator with the ability to verbalise conceptual thoughts and accept constructive critique.

Responsibilities
- Construct systems, write code, and support deployments as an individual contributor.
- Work with the team lead and stakeholders to estimate and prioritise work.
- Collaborate with peers to iterate on solutions that meet requirements.
- Keep the project lead and producer updated on revised estimates and delivery times.
- Promote high standards and processes, including tests, CI/CD, and documentation.
- Help and support team members in day-to-day work.
- Maintain and expand existing code, and develop new features or systems.
- Contribute to an internal tool used across our company.
- Support the growth of our AWS Certified engineering capability.
