Job Description
Salary: £37,000 - 77,000 per year
Requirements
- We are looking for a senior leader with experience in business operations, operating model design, or systems transformation.
- We need someone who has improved how work gets done across multiple teams, not just within one function.
- We are seeking strong judgement and calm thinking in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- We need experience balancing pace, usability, risk, and control.
- We want a track record of making change stick, not just delivering programmes.
- We need someone comfortable influencing senior stakeholders without relying on process or authority.
- We value practical interest in AI and automation.
- Experience in professional services, scaling organisations, regulated environments, or other high-trust environments is particularly valuable.
Responsibilities
- We own and improve our internal operating system across workflows, systems, data, governance, and behaviours.
- We lead a business-wide systems review and improvement programme, starting by listening, understanding risks and friction, and making practical improvements real.
- We identify the highest-friction workflows and redesign them end to end so they are clearer, simpler, and more reliable.
- We make sure changes stick in practice, so they are not only launched but also used and trusted.
- We improve how information flows and create clearer sources of truth, reducing duplication and reliance on memory or heroics.
- We embed controls, governance, and risk management into normal work without slowing people down.
- We introduce automation or AI where it genuinely helps, while keeping human judgement and accountability clear.
- We work closely with enablement and communications colleagues so new ways of working are understood, adopted, and reinforced.
- We act as calm, critical systems thinkers in a fast-paced environment, helping prioritise what really matters and resisting unnecessary change.

More
We are hiring a senior Operating Systems Lead to help us understand how our business really works and redesign the internal systems that keep it running clearly, safely, and reliably as we scale. This is a remote role with some office work in Norwich, and it is suited to someone who cares deeply about practical operations rather than surface-level change. We are a fast-growing organisation and need someone who can improve workflows, information flows, governance, and controls in a way that supports real work and helps our teams operate with more consistency, less duplication, and less reliance on individual heroics.
