IAM Engineer

Salary: £143,750 - 150,000 per year

Requirements

• We need solid experience working as an IAM Engineer.
• We need a strong understanding of identity lifecycle and access management.
• We need experience with IAM tools such as Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, SailPoint, ForgeRock, or similar platforms.
• We need someone who is comfortable working in a complex environment and can get on with the work independently.
• We prefer candidates who can support a contract engagement and deliver quickly in a hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• We will have you work on IAM design and configuration, sense-checking what is in place and improving it where needed.
• We will have you implement and configure IAM solutions.
• We will have you manage joiners, movers, and leavers processes.
• We will have you set up and refine access controls, including RBAC and governance models.
• We will have you support system integrations and identity flows.
• We will have you troubleshoot issues, close gaps, and help prepare the IAM environment for production readiness.

We are supporting a UK education client that is looking to strengthen its Identity & Access Management environment with an IAM Engineer on a 3-month initial contract, likely to extend. This is an outside IR35, fully remote role where we need someone practical, hands-on, and able to make a meaningful impact quickly.
