We are looking for a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer / SDET with 5+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and ensure high-quality software delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software engineering, test automation, CI/CD practices, and a proactive mindset to drive quality across the SDLC.

You will work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to embed quality into the development lifecycle and support fast, reliable releases.

Day to Day Responsibilities: Test Automation & Framework Development Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing Identify test scenarios suitable for automation and ensure high automation coverage Develop automated test scripts using Java/Python (or similar languages) Testing & Quality Engineering Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and system testing Execute automated and limited manual tests where required Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test strategy discussions Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices CI/CD & DevOps Integration Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.) Enable shift-left testing and continuous quality checks Work with DevOps teams to support containerized and cloud-based test execution Collaboration & Agile Practices Work as part of Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives Collaborate with developers to debug issues and improve testability Provide clear test metrics, reports, and quality insights to stakeholders Continuous Improvement Evaluate and recommend improvements to test tools, frameworks, and processes Stay updated with latest trends in test automation and quality engineering Mentor junior QA/Automation engineers when needed ____ Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in test automation / SDET roles 5+ years of Strong programming skills in Java or Python 5+ years of Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress 5+ years of API automation experience using REST, or similar tools Assured, Postman 5+ years of Experience testing microservices and distributed systems 5+ years of Experience with Docker and containers (Kubernetes is a plus) Preferred Skills: Knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest) Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with Git and version control workflows Working knowledge of SQL and database testing Understanding of performance and security testing basics (JMeter, OWASP concepts) Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP #LI-NorthAmerica About NTT DATA NTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
