This role will manage a team of Remote Data Abstractors, ensuring accurate abstraction of future orders, patient histories, and PAMI data. The ideal candidate combines clinical/operational knowledge with strong QA processes, leadership, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities: Lead and oversee daily activities of Data Abstractors in a remote environment Develop, implement, and enforce QA processes, audit protocols, and abstraction standards Perform routine and ad hoc quality audits on abstracted data (future orders, histories, PAMI) Track and report accuracy, productivity, and error trends Provide real-time feedback, coaching, and retraining to abstraction staff Serve as escalation point for complex cases, discrepancies, and data integrity issues Partner with project leadership and clinical stakeholders to ensure alignment with workflows Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all data security standards Required Qualifications: Hands-on experience with Epic EMR Proven experience in data abstraction and/or QA auditing in a healthcare setting Experience reviewing or abstracting future orders, patient histories, and PAMI data Prior team lead, QA lead, or supervisory experience Strong understanding of clinical documentation and workflows Intermediate (or higher) Microsoft Excel skills High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred: Clinical background (RN, LPN, MA, or similar) Experience supporting Epic go-live, data migration, or chart conversion projects Familiarity with Epic modules such as Orders, ClinDoc, Ambulatory, ASAP Experience developing QA scorecards, dashboards, or reporting Advanced/Expert Microsoft Excel skills Key Competencies: Leadership and team management (remote teams) Quality control and continuous improvement mindset Strong communication and coaching skills Ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments Details: 100% Remote Type: Contract (40 hours/week) Hours: Ideally during EST business hours Mon-Fri; some overtime may be permitted Duration: TBD (multiple contract opportunities throughout 2026) Must have secure workspace and reliable internet Pay rate range: $25$30 (based on number of years of experience + clinical background) #HCIT
