Requirements

• We are looking for 5-6 years of experience in a senior data engineering, architecture, or platform role.
• We require strong hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Redshift, Glue, and Athena.
• We require experience with real-time and batch data processing technologies such as Apache Flink, Kafka, Spark, or similar.
• We need proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, or Scala.
• We value experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and distributed systems.
• We expect comfort working in agile and DevOps environments.
• Experience in sensitive or regulated data environments is highly desirable.
• We require eDV eligibility.
• We require candidates to be sole UK nationals.

Responsibilities

• We lead the development of backend services for a government client, focusing on high availability, low latency, and scalability.
• We design, build, and deploy backend features.
• We own continuous deployment pipelines.
• We operate within agile, cross-functional delivery teams.
• We build and maintain secure batch and real-time data pipelines for government clients.
• We work across data ingestion, modelling, and pipeline development.
• We ensure data is available, reliable, and aligned to target architectures.

We are hiring senior data professionals across three disciplines: Data/AI Architect, AI Platform Engineer, and Data & AI Engineer. This is a remote-first opportunity based in Cheltenham with a salary range of £80,000 to £140,000 depending on role and experience.
