Staff Software Engineer

Salary: £75,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong experience with Golang
• Proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with Terraform
• Familiarity with SQL and large datasets
• Competent in frontend technologies such as Typescript and React
• Ability to contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies including containers and serverless
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
• Willingness to mentor junior developers and lead projects

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Golang
• Build and deploy scalable cloud platforms on GCP, with AWS or Azure acceptable
• Work confidently on the frontend using Typescript and React
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code
• Mentor junior developers and lead on projects as necessary
