Senior Software Developer

Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong coding/programming skills in .NET and C#
• Experience as a Senior Developer or Lead Developer
• Proficiency in ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET, Blazor
• Knowledge of Database Technologies (SQL Server, PL/SQL, T-SQL)
• Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio and SSIS
• Understanding of ETL and Integration Platforms
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Frontend Development expertise (JavaScript/jQuery, React, Blazor)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to share knowledge with junior team members
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS is a bonus
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and Architectural Patterns is a plus
• Right to Work in the UK long-term without company sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Design and build an enterprise-level software solution from the ground up
• Lead the development and maintenance of the software solution and its services
• Manage the full development lifecycle from architecture and design to deployment and ongoing support
• Take technical ownership as a Senior Developer and Technical Lead
• Collaborate with the development team to implement best practices
• Share knowledge and mentor junior team members
• Interact effectively with both technical and non-technical staff
• Continuously learn and stay updated with technological trends

We are an exciting business based in Plymouth looking for a permanent Senior Software Developer / Lead Software Developer to join our team. This office-based role offers competitive salary and benefits, including a pension, 23.5 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, and insurance. Our working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:30pm and Friday from 7:30am to 12:30pm, with potential for one day of remote work per week after probation with management approval.
